On the evening of May 12, 2008 an ambulance from Pomeroy along with an Engine and QRS from Sadsburyville

On the afternoon on May 9, 2008 the Pomeroy Fire Company was dispatched for two ambulances in conjunction with Mutual Aide Fire Companies to the Route 30 Bypass for an accident with injuries.

On Saturday April 12, 2008, the members of Pomeroy Vol. Fire Co. No. 1 gathered together to hold a Beef & Beer benefit for Fire Chief Doug McGuigan.




Ambulance Relocated to Union Fire Company

On Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 1606, Ambulance 29 was dispatched to relocate to the Union Fire Company for a stand-by while their crews were busy fighting a fire in their local.


Large Field Reported on Fire in Sadsbury Township

On Sunday March 30th, 2008, while members of the surrounding fire companies were attending a Rapid Intervention Training, the Pomeroy Fire Company in conjunction with the Sadsburyville Fire Company were dispatched to Holstein Drive for a reported field on fire.




Burning smell from home in Sadsbury Township

On March 29, 2008, The Pomeroy and Sadsburyville Fire Companies were dispatched to the 3000 block of Lincoln Highway for what a burning odor. Crews from the Pomeroy Fire Company quickly responded to the scene after a day of Rapid Intervention Team Training.




Condolances extended to Sadsburyville Captain

The members of the Pomeroy Volunteer Fire Company and EMS division would like to extend our condolances to Captain John Conroy of the Sadsburyville Fire Company in the tragic loss of his brother on Wednesday March 26, 2008.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Captain Conroy and his family.


Assist on Abandon House Fire in East Fallowfield

On Monday, March 24th, 2008, at 1343 one Engine, from the Pomeroy Fire Company was dispatched to assist on a house fire in the area of Ims Drive on Route 82 in East Fallowfield.




Community CPR Classes Return To Pomeroy

On March 15 2008 Community CPR Training made it's return to Pomeroy Vol. Fire Co. No.1. On Saturday morning Scot Kreger the EMS Captain taught the first of what he hopes will be many Community CPR and First Aid classes to be held at Pomeroy.
